Just Us Girls - Leap Day with Video

Hello Everyone!

Well 'Bold Angel' is back in charge on Day 3 of "Pamellia's Schizophrenic Week of Mojo"!! This is my last week as a guest designer over at Just Us Girls. It's been a fun month and I am so thankful to the team for inviting me join in with them! For my last challenge with them, it's "PHOTO WEEK" and you can find the inspiration photo just below my card. I do hope you join in the fun!

I have made a video for this card, which you can find further down the page. And by popular request, I have also finally did a flower tutorial video as well.

I was most inspired by the little calendar page, so I decided to make a card to celebrate Leap Year / Leap Day. I was also inspired by the bright green and even the flourishes in the background. The touches of purple were just for me! tee hee

Alright, double whammy today - with not one, but two videos for your viewing pleasure! lol. I hope you enjoy both the card tutorial and the flower tutorial! Thanks for your support everyone and keep the requests coming, I promise to get around to everything eventually!

UPDATE
My card won an award in the following wonderful challenges

One of my favourite things to take photos of is how the street lamps cast amazing colours when mixed with the colours in the sunset. It's just so beautiful and even looks fake sometime to see a big orange or green branch sticking out over the footpath.

This shot was so much prettier in real life. The tunnel was green, the footpath on the other side was bright blue from the sky, and the sky on the horizon was pink from the sunset.

I had a new visitor the other day. He is really tiny and very skittish. He must be brand new to the world because you can see he still has some baby fur on his head and back. I've never seen one quite this colour before. He reminds me of a milk chocolate bar, so I have named him Chocolate Charlie. I do hope to see him again soon.

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.

Frilly and Funkie - Layer It Up

Hello Everyone!

It's time for another challenge over at Frilly and Funkie. The lovely and talented Nancy is our hostess and she has chosen the theme "LAYER IT UP". She would like you to create a vintage or shabby chic project that includes multiple layers. One lucky winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to Linda's shop The Funkie Junkie Boutique!

Welcome to day 2 of "Pamellia's Schizophrenic Week of Mojo"!! With Mother's Day just around the corner 'Soft Angel' has taken over. I sell quite a lot of cards for this occasion, so I make a whole bunch of gushy cards with no sentiments. The ones that sell, I add a Mother's Day sentiment, the ones that don't, I can use for birthdays or other such things. OK, here we go, get ready for lots of flowers and pink things!

The papers I used are all from Pion Design...a new absolute favourite of mine!! I have used the collections "A Day in May", and "Paris Flea Market". The border I created on the very back layer is stamped using Graphic 45 Time to Flourish using Ranger Archival Potting Soil ink.

The beautiful pearl swirls are Prima. The tag was cut using Tim Holtz Tiny Tabs and Tag. The doily die is from Prima, also another new favourite item of mine at the moment. The large pink frame I cut using Sizzix Ornate Frame die. I glued the paper to a piece of chipboard before cutting it out, to give it extra strength when I added the pop dots.

The beautiful flower is made using Silk Crinkle Ribbon from May Arts. I have been working on designing a whole line of ribbon flowers and will eventually be doing video tutorials on all of them. The first tutorial is live on Saturday, so check back for that one.

The little round embellishment is an epoxy sticker set on top of a piece of Ephemera from the Thrift Shop set. The butterflies are from the French Flight stamp set from Tim Holtz. The twine and pearls are also from Linda's shop

All of the snow is gone...AGAIN, we had this wave of warmth that created amazing foggy mornings. I grabbed a couple of shots from the window. But then the temperature plummeted!

We had a couple of the coldest days on record with 30 degrees below (Celsius). The squirrels were freezing, poor things! I watched as they shifted their weight from one foot to another because the ground was so cold they couldn't keep any one foot on the ground for too long! I laid a towel down in front of the door so they would have a place to eat their peanuts without freezing their little feetsies off...

but that wasn't good enough for Max, he came right inside and sat on the carpet. I don't blame him!

Poor little Dianna was so cold, she came out of her house as soon as the sun hit the balcony, and she just sat there in the sun until the moment the sunshine was gone...then so was she!

That's it for today. Thank you for stopping in and for all the amazing comments. I read and appreciate every single one! If you have any questions, please let me know.
